Brief Biography- Larissa hoops
Larissa was born in 1981 in Nairobi and has spent most of her life in the capital, naturally her works main focus is of life in Kenya.
Between 2000 and 2004 Larissa studied Fine Arts at the University of Gloucestershire in England. On completing her studies Larissa moved to Bristol where she worked at the Grant Bradley Gallery. There she co-curated several exhibitions including ‘Platforms 2006’ which she also exhibited in.
Her first solo exhibition ‘By road’ was held at the Talisman Restaurant, Nairobi in October 2007.
Most recently she participated in the Ramoma run exhibition curated by Xavier Verhoest ’The Way We Like It’ ; originally held at the Village Market and later at the Alliance Francaise. (January - February 2008)
