_{Cyprian Ogambi who was born in 1962 in Nyanza Province Siaya District could trace his interest in art as far as nursery School days where his drawing of car was  selected as the best of term work.During primary school days ,interest by fellow pupils in his work encouraged him to keep drawing.At Alliance High School art was offered as asubject ,it is here that Ogambi made up his mind to be an artist.The art teacher used to organise visits to Nairobi art galleries  such as Gallery Watatu  to see work by contemporary Kenyan artists and this re-enforced his resolve to follew artistic carrer.Ogambi's work can be found in varius art gallerie such as Gallerry watatu,Gallery of Contemporary East African Artetc.Ogambi's work has also been ehibited locally and internationaly.}
