Lalesso Fashion Show 2008

Lalesso Kenyan Show

Lalesso will be showcasing their spring/summer '08 collection at Rusty Nail in Karen and will donate all profits from sales at the event to the Kenya Red Cross to support displaced women and children. Lalesso is famous for their ethical fashion with an aroma of Africa and a hint of summer. By using the "khanga" Lalesso supports the threatened cotton industry as well as the textile manufacturing industry in both Kenya and Tanzania.

The fabric is handwashed in the Indian Ocean before being individually hand-crafted into Lalesso creations. Please check out www.lalesso.com.

The fashion show will kick off at 5pm on 1st March with gorgeous girls and guys strutting their stuff through the gardens of Rusty Nail. There will be a stall opening at 5.30pm for your chance to pick up a beautiful new wardrobe. Admission is Ksh 400 and this will be donated in full to the Kenya Red Cross together with all the profits from sales.

The Kenya Red Cross has been central to the humanitarian response to the violence that has gripped Kenya since the general election. The Red Cross Movement has provided life-saving food, water and distributions of clothes, blankets and seeds to affected families. Our donation will help support the most vulnerable in Kenya, the women and children who have had to flee their homes as a result of the violent clashes.

Please come along to support this worthy cause and get a chance to bag yourself some great Lalesso clothes.
