The GoDown Artists present “ChoraChora” an art festival celebrating the Kenyan artists and their works, with families, hosted by The GoDown Arts Centre.
“ChoraChora”, an arts festival and family fun day to be held at the GoDown Arts Centre, Dunga Road, Next to Giro Bank, Industrial Area, on 16th and 17th December, 2006 featuring artists based at the GoDown and other parts of Kenya.
The festival aims to increase art appreciation and awareness in the Kenyan public. The program has various activities that will involve interactive participation from the artists, enthusiasts, parents and children. Some of these shared activities will include learning about arts from the artists, the chance to experiment with the various media, have fun while at the same time interact with the artists on an open forum. It being the month for giving gifts, this is also a chance to buy artwork at really low and affordable prices outside the conventional spaces such as galleries.
