CV SUMMARY

I have been creative since child hood. Marshalling ideas from all corners to build up my compositions. During my early art life I worked in the realistic manner before proceeding into contemporary art. I entered in the Kenya art scene as an active participant in the art market and in exhibitions early in the year2001. The exposure enabled me to work in several art styles and soon established an impressionistic style of my own. Most of my themes are usually rural depictions, portraying women’s activities and cultural practices. I have done a series of murals at Safari park hotel and at Don Bosco Boy’s Chapel.

EXHIBITIONS

I participate in all major exhibitions in the country notably; The Annual Art Affair Ramoma, end year exhibitions by the Kenya Museum society and the annual arts exhibition by the ministry of culture

2006 CONTEMPORARY JURIED ART EXHIBITION

The urge o address social issues affecting the society in my works, sparked, my diversion to mixed media art especially collage that I find highly communicative and stimulating. Mixed media has enable me to depict successfully most of my celebrated

themes of terrorism and of atrocities caused by man. During the exhibition two of my works “After terror” and the -forbidden Liquor earned me a jury prize as the most up coming male artist. Use of fond objects sometimes collected from the site of an

explosion or an old building enables my wok to be more tangible and authentic.
